While she gets along well with dogs, cats, and older children, her early life spent in a chaotic environment means she can be a bit timid in new situations. She may be reserved when meeting new people, particularly tall individuals; however, with calm introductions, her affectionate nature shines through. Joanie is looking for an experienced family who understands the importance of allowing a shy dog to build confidence in her own time. She flourishes with consistent kindness and patience, and while she may bark briefly when meeting unfamiliar dogs, she soon warms up and becomes friendly.
