About Ambrose
Meet Ambrose! He’s a 4-year-old, 60-pound German Shepherd mix with a loving soul and an adventurous spirit. Although he can be shy when meeting new people, take your time with him, and you'll discover a loyal companion who's truly worth it. Ambrose tends to be timid, particularly around men, so he flourishes in environments where he can build trust at his own pace. Don't let this gentle demeanor fool you—he thrives on outdoor exploration! Ambrose adores walks and hikes, making him a perfect match for someone who enjoys the great outdoors. This friendly boy interacts well with other animals, so he's ideal for a home where he can have a dog buddy. He is also cat friendly! A calm canine companion might help him gain confidence in a new setting. Far from being destructive, Ambrose is already potty trained and walks beautifully on a leash. He does have some crate anxiety, which his foster is currently addressing, but he can be left out without any issues. Although Ambrose hasn’t been around kids much, he could coexist well with older, respectful children who understand the importance of giving him space. He would sincerely thrive in a loving family that allows him to settle in slowly. If you’re ready to give this sweet, adventure-loving dog the time and patience he needs, Ambrose might just be the friend you’ve been looking for. Click apply to start the adoption process.
