About Big Al
Meet Big Al! This 65-pound Standard Poodle is here to steal your heart. Born on August 12, 2020, he's a big guy with an even bigger personality. Friendly doesn’t even begin to cover it—everyone is his buddy. From the dog across the room to that stubborn cat who’s done nothing but hiss, Al sees friends everywhere. He’s a delightful pushover, always inviting affection and attention, so be ready for some serious leaning. Big Al is dog-friendly, including with small dogs, and gets along with cats and kids too. He’s not just house trained; he's also kennel trained and enjoys his role as a gentle giant. A little ball-chaser when the mood strikes, he’s more of a laid-back lapdog at heart. While he’s low-energy overall, Al can be a bit of a puller on walks, needing a head collar while you work on that. He’ll bark at loud noises, eager to invite people over for cuddles—definitely a counter surfer, so be mindful of snacks! Maintenance? Al's beautiful coat requires regular grooming, about once a month, which he handles like a champ. If this goofy, affectionate canine sounds like the companion you’re looking for, fill out an application to meet him soon!
