Rocking in at around 35 pounds, he is ready to find a loving home where his health and safety will be prioritized.

About Rocky

Rocky may look like a puppy forever, but he's got a lot more going on than his adorable appearance. Born with congenital hypothyroidism, he missed out on crucial growth during his first year, leading to his unique, puppy-like look. This condition caused dwarfism, leaving him with the head and paws of a fully grown dog while he remains smaller than expected. Since starting thyroid medication, Rocky has been making great progress. He's growing stronger and enjoying life as the affectionate little dog he is. Recently neutered, he is eager to find his forever home. With some skeletal abnormalities from delayed treatment, Rocky may always need extra care. His ideal home would have smaller, calmer dogs for companionship, as rambunctious play could lead to injury. He’s also lived with cats, so feline friends could work, too. Despite these challenges, Rocky is healthy and incredibly happy. He loves cuddling and all people, demonstrating a joyful spirit despite his past. Ongoing veterinary care will be essential for Rocky's thyroid health, but his medical needs aren't too complicated. This delightful boy is thriving and ready to bring joy to the right family who prioritizes his health and safety. He's located in Mississippi and will be transported once adopted. Virtual meet and greets are available; the adoption fee is waived for the perfect home! What are you waiting for? Apply today!
