About Kuma

Meet Kuma! Kuma is a young, neutered male, 1 year old, and weighs about 22.04 lbs. This little bear-like sweetheart is a Jindo and Akita mix with a fluffy medium coat. Rescued from a local shelter in Korea, heโ€™s now living with a loving foster family in San Diego, CA, while he awaits his forever home. Kuma is curious and bright, always engaged with his surroundings. Though he may be cautious initially, he warms up quickly once he feels secure. Friendly with people and other dogs, he enjoys playtime but can benefit from gentle guidance on his play manners. He sometimes starts with his mouth, so a little direction will help him refine his social skills. Despite his playful nature, Kuma does get startled by sudden movements or noises. When frightened, he might nip out of fear rather than aggression, showing that he needs a patient friend to help him navigate new situations. Despite his past, he sleeps comfortably now and has shown impressive progress since arriving in the U.S. Kuma would do well with a family that can provide him the space and time he needs to adjust to new environments. If you think you're ready to welcome this special little bear into your life, heโ€™s waiting for you! Click apply to start the adoption process.
