About Vixen
Vixen is a gentle boy who’s still discovering a world that can be a safe place. After being surrendered in Texas with his brother due to their owner lacking time, it became clear that Vixen hadn't experienced much of life. To prevent this sweet, shy dog from falling through the cracks, we brought him to Iowa, where dedicated staff and volunteers can help him build his confidence. This reserved pup can feel overwhelmed in new situations, often taking time to warm up to people and experiences. Yet, Vixen shows signs of intelligence and calmness, and as he settles in, his sweet personality is likely to shine through. He gets along well with other dogs and has shown he can be comfortable around children aged 13 and up. Crate trained, he maintains a clean environment in his kennel. To thrive, Vixen needs a patient, experienced owner who understands that boosting confidence isn’t an overnight process. A quiet home with a predictable routine and positive reinforcement will lay the foundation for his growth. Vixen is ready to continue his journey, and he just needs the right person to show him how great life can be. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and let's get started.
