About Hoka
Hoka is a young male dog, likely around a year old, and he's truly remarkable. Once found severely malnourished, he’s making a significant recovery thanks to regular meals and plenty of love. Hoka enjoys exploring his yard and is great in his crate after a bit of time to settle. However, he feels insecure being outside alone at night and prefers having company. While he’s adjusting, Hoka has developed a habit of checking countertops and garbage cans, a behavior stemming from his past struggles with food scarcity. We’re helping him work on this while maintaining a structured feeding schedule to gain weight safely. Although he hasn't shown much interest in toys yet, he gets along well with other dogs and is child-friendly. The ideal home for Hoka will ensure he never has to worry about hunger again. He has made such progress and is ready to thrive. This fall, he’s hoping to find a loving family to call his own. Click apply to start the adoption process.
