About Rosco

Meet Rosco! Rosco is an adorable 8-month-old Miniature Poodle mix, slightly taller than the typical Miniature Poodle yet with a heart as big as his personality. Rescued as an emaciated stray from the streets of Detroit, he came to us severely underweight and with a matted coat that required him to be shaved. Despite his tough beginnings, Rosco remains affectionate and eager to love. When he first arrived, Rosco weighed only 11 pounds. With proper care and nutrition, he's now a much healthier 22 pounds after gaining over 10 pounds in less than a month. It's incredible how a little TLC can transform a life. Rosco is sweet and gentle, adoring people and especially children. He has serious Velcro-dog tendencies and loves being part of everyday family activities. Playful and full of energy, he enjoys walks, playing with toys, and romping around with other dogs. He also gets along well with cats and understands house manners quite well. Not surprisingly, Rosco loves his food and is highly motivated by treats, making training enjoyable. He is learning to accept treats more gently, showing significant progress. His future family should be patient and consistent as he continues to learn. As a Poodle mix, he will need regular professional grooming to keep his coat healthy. He thrives in a loving family environment where exercise and play are prioritized. Rosco’s journey began with neglect, but his future is bright. This resilient and fun-loving boy deserves a family that will never let him go hungry again and will shower him with the love he seeks. Could you be the one to give Rosco the happily-ever-after he deserves? He’s ready to be loved forever!
