About Rio
Meet Rio! This handsome boy has striking blue eyes and is ready to charm his way into your heart. At 6 years old and weighing about 77 pounds, he is a well-behaved Husky Shepherd mix. Rio is house trained and excels as a loyal companion, loving cuddles, toys, and quality time with his favorite humans. He enjoys leisurely evenings on the couch after spending the day playing and being active, especially when heβs off for hikes. After recovering from spinal surgery due to a pinched nerve, he's making steady progress and doesn't require special care beyond gentle help with stairs and some physical therapy during his healing. Rio is quite affectionate and forms close bonds with those who love him, so he may need a little reassurance when his favorite people leave. While he can get along with other dogs when introduced properly, he thrives best as the only dog in the house, soaking up all the affection he can. Rio fits well in both active and relaxed homes, as long as he's showered with love and given time to heal. Rio is currently fostered in Santa Monica and is ready to join his forever family. Transport to his new home is also available. Start the process to welcome this loving companion into your family today.
