Freedom is a 1-year-old male Terrier who is medium-sized. He has a heart full of love waiting for the right family to unlock it. While his precise weight and coat length aren’t available, his gentle spirit and need for gentle care speak volumes. Freedom is currently in Fort Worth, TX, eagerly awaiting someone who can give him the time and affection he deserves.

About Freedom

Meet Freedom. His journey so far has been filled with hardship, but now he’s ready to find a loving home. Freedom suffered from severe neglect before arriving at the rescue. He came to us painfully thin, infested with fleas and ticks, and with a wound around his neck from being tethered. Despite his past, this sweet boy yearns for love and companionship. Now that he is safe, Freedom is learning that kindness exists. He may be a bit shy and timid in new situations, but with patience and time, his loving nature shines through. He rewards kindness with trust and affection, making the bond with him incredibly special. Freedom is looking for an adopter who is compassionate and understanding, someone willing to celebrate small victories. This young boy deserves someone who will guide him in building confidence, ensuring that he always feels secure. He has already faced the toughest challenges and is now ready for a brighter future. If you believe you can provide that, Freedom is waiting for you to help him write a better story. His adoption fee is $400. Freedom needs an adopter who is at least 21 years old and lives within an hour of our facility. Every day is an opportunity to show him he matters. Click apply to start the adoption process.

Questions about Freedom

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

A Terrier like Freedom thrives in a loving and nurturing environment. He will do best in a home where he can feel safe and secure, away from the chaos that contributed to his past traumas.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

Terriers generally enjoy outdoor play but would be content in a smaller yard as long as they receive regular walks and mental stimulation. Freedom will appreciate a safe space to explore and bond with his new family.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

Freedom has a timid nature and may not yet be ready for a home with young children. A quiet, stable environment with older kids who can respect his pace would be ideal.
