About Sausage Sam

Meet Sausage Sam! Sausage Sam is a 4-month-old male Husky who currently weighs 10 lbs. Rescued from playing in an unsafe area with his brother, Dean Jimmy, he found a loving foster home where he’s learned a lot. Sam is curious and smart, quickly mastering pee pads and crate training. While he loves to romp and play with his dog friends and foster siblings, he also enjoys quiet moments cozying up on the couch for a nap. This little guy has a brave spirit, ready to protect you from leaves, squirrels, and even Amazon drivers! He's great with children and other dogs, although he hasn't been around cats yet. Food is a sensitive topic for him; having not eaten enough in the past, he prefers to have his meals in his crate where he feels secure. Sausage Sam is fully vetted and ready for a forever home. Adoption requires an approved application since the rescue doesn’t have a shelter location. If you’re situated within a two-hour radius of Dayton, OH, and think you could give Sam the happy life he deserves, don’t hesitate to apply!
