Lucius, formerly known as Shuppo, has a remarkable story. At only 3 to 4 years old, he has experienced more than most dogs ever should. When first discovered at Harris County Animal Control, he was thin, had missing patches of fur, and bore a deep scar from a chain. His previous owner's passing was followed by an unfortunate encounter with responders that left him traumatized. In his kennel, he cowered, but his tail wagged with hope whenever someone approached. Despite the hardships, Lucius’s spirit shone through. With care and patience, he transformed from a scared pup into an affectionate companion who loves to play. His zest for life is evident—he enjoys playing ball and is great with other dogs. After a harrowing 29 days lost during a vet trip, he was joyfully reunited with his rescue. Now, he's eager to find a foster home that can match his playful energy and shower him with the love he deserves. Lucius is ready for his next adventure and is looking for someone to help write his new chapter. Scout’s Honor Rescue is prepared to cover all fostering expenses.
