About Garfield

Garfield is a 5-year-old cat with a strong personality and a love for enjoying life at his own pace. At first glance, he might appear tough, greeting newcomers with a hiss, but scratch beneath the surface, and you'll find a sweet cat yearning for patience and love to reveal his true self. Garfield prefers to take things slow. You’ll often find him surveying his domain from his perch on a cat tower or playfully batting at spring toys, lost in his imagination. He’s happiest when he can partake in activities on his own terms. Gaining Garfield's trust takes time, particularly with other animals, as he initially prefers solitude. Slow introductions can help him adapt to the presence of other pets. Respect for his boundaries is essential; he’s looking for a family willing to give him the space he needs. Garfield is currently on a weight-loss journey, and his new family must be committed to helping him stick to a diet of low-calorie treats and dry food. While he maintains a polite demeanor when seeking his favorite guilty pleasure, Churu, he’s ready for a family who will help him achieve his health goals. If you’re patient and willing to overlook his sassy side, Garfield is eager to build a relationship that blossoms with time. Could you be the special person who helps him shine?
