About Benita

Meet Benita. She calmly waited her turn, a little scared but still happy to see everyone. Gentle and serene, she isn’t particularly interested in treats right now; she's simply taking in her surroundings. At about 2-3 years old, Benita has faced challenges—she’s been overbred, and her ears are nearly gone due to previous circumstances. While we don’t know her complete history, it’s clear that this sweet girl deserves a future filled with love and kindness. She tested well with other dogs, showing her friendly nature. We’re still learning about how she feels about cats. Even in an unfamiliar environment, Benita revealed her gentle spirit, eager to bond. This lovely girl embodies everything we stand for at Polk County Bully Project. Some may judge her based on her looks, but she deserves to be seen, valued, and loved for who she truly is. Benita deserves to be someone’s cherished companion. She longs for a safe home where she can be herself and feel secure. Let’s help give her the future she deserves. What are you waiting for?
