About Helen

Meet Helen! This beautiful 2-3 year-old Pit Bull Terrier received a second chance at life just in time. Facing euthanasia while very pregnant, she arrived in Pennsylvania shortly before giving birth to 12 adorable puppies in September. Now that her pups are almost weaned, it's Helen's turn to find a loving home where she can relax and receive the affection she deserves. Helen presently weighs around 40 pounds following the demands of motherhood, and her foster is helping her regain strength. Although she tested positive for heartworms, her treatment is fully sponsored and already scheduled. Afterward, she will be spayed. She's up to date on vaccinations. Her foster family is happy to keep her during treatment, but she's ready to transition to her forever home if the right family comes along. With her gorgeous chocolate brown coat and a superb personality, Helen loves to take walks and does wonderfully on a leash. She's friendly with everyone, both people and dogs, and enjoys cuddling next to her humans. Crate trained and well-behaved during the day, she shows no signs of food aggression or resource guarding, making her safe around children. Helen is truly the whole package and any family would be lucky to welcome her. She's longing for a cozy bed and a forever home filled with love. She can’t wait to begin her new chapter!
