About Cleo

Meet Cleo! This lovely two-year-old black mouth cur mix has faced her share of challenges. Abandoned as a puppy, she became a devoted mother to eight puppies and bravely battled heartworms. Through it all, she remains a joyful spirit with an energetic personality. Cleo is playful and loves meeting new people. She's house trained and a fantastic companion, truly wanting to bond with her family. A secure, fenced yard is essential for her, as she’s quite the jumper, able to clear a 5-foot fence with ease. Cleo thrives when surrounded by loving individuals who can help her build confidence, especially since she can feel anxious if left alone for extended periods. Being curious about cats, she hasn’t been tested with them yet, but her interest may not be ideal. For families, older kids would suit her playful nature best. She’s enthusiastic about bicycles and motorcycles, so a confident handler is necessary when walking her to manage her excitement. Cleo does get along with many dogs but needs a home without other pets due to a prior experience. However, she can enjoy playdates. Cleo has waited a long time for her forever home, and she’s eager to share her love with the right family. Apply today and tell us why you’re the perfect fit for her. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
