About Ziggy

Meet Ziggy! This charming little guy was rescued from the euthanasia list at a high-kill shelter in Houston, Texas, and given a chance to thrive in a loving foster home. Ziggy is around 2 years old and weighs 16 pounds. With his scruffy coat, quirky ears, and an adventurous spirit, he’s simply irresistible. Ziggy is playful and curious, always eager to join you on walks or hikes, enjoying the great outdoors. He walks well on a leash, is picking up commands like “Let’s go!”, and has a keen interest in squirrels – though he’s learning to focus on his human instead. When it’s time to wind down, Ziggy shines with affection. He loves cuddles and being near his people, enjoying relaxation indoors with his foster family and other dogs. He’s housebroken, well-mannered, and does great in the car. Ziggy is sociable with kids and has a playful nature with his foster family’s son. While he could thrive with another dog, he might also be happy as your only companion. He does have moments of excitement, but he responds well to positive redirection. He’d do best in an active home that can provide daily walks, playtime, and endless love. A fenced yard would be ideal!
