Meet Maddie, a charming 11-year-old Terrier Poodle mix who tips the scales at a cuddly 12 pounds. This spirited girl absolutely loves to snuggle and will nudge you gently with her nose if you ever stop petting her. Despite a bit of arthritis in her back right leg, she navigates her surroundings like a pro—those stairs to the couch are no problem for her! Maddie has a special connection to her cozy bed and a blanket that reminds her of her previous mom, who’s in hospice care. Although she misses her deeply, her foster caregiver provides plenty of love and treats, which brings her happiness. She’s great with other dogs in her foster home and thrives in a friendly environment. Maddie is looking for a forever home where someone is around often to support her training, as she’s about 80 percent house trained. With the use of cloth pee pads that her foster mom provides, she’s making excellent progress. If you think you can offer Maddie the loving environment she deserves, she would be thrilled to meet you!
