About Opal

Opal is a gentle Great Pyrenees, weighing 70 lbs and around 1.5 years old. With her distinct guardian instincts, she’s alert and protective of her family and home, often barking when she notices something outside. This is just her natural behavior as a Great Pyrenees. Opal thrives with another friendly dog for companionship but would prefer to be in a cat-free home. She’s house trained, gets along well with other dogs, and enjoys car rides. Comfortable in her bed, she’s a typical Pyrenees who appreciates calm, cozy spaces. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and current on preventatives. To adopt Opal, a fenced-in backyard is required, and she would do best with an adult home where someone is present most of the day. Children 7 years and older are welcome, although younger kids would need to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Opal is currently fostered in Crown Point, IN. What are you waiting for?
