About Solomon

Solomon is a resilient dog who was picked up as a stray and brought into a high-kill shelter. After a month without any interest, he faced euthanasia. Since arriving at the rescue, we've learned a lot about him. Solomon does well with female dogs but can be reactive toward males, a behavior that might improve with some training and patience. Being a German Shepherd, he has a lot of energy which can lead to anxiety if not channeled appropriately. He enjoys mental and physical stimulation, but has a notable "off switch," calming down nicely in his crate. Although he’s shown some nervous tendencies and seems apprehensive around people, he’s opened up since receiving affection. A gentle head scratch brought him to lean into my hand, sharing a sigh of what seemed like relief. His past might not have included much love or comfort, but with the right person, Solomon can learn what safety and loyalty truly mean. If you feel you could be that special someone, please reach out to meet him.
