About Chief

Chief, also known as King, is a 9-year-old blue-nose pitbull that desperately needs a new home. Rescued nearly three years ago from the Castaic shelter, he’s been a cherished companion, especially for adults. Unfortunately, Chief must be the only dog in the home due to a past incident, making him unsuitable for a household with other dogs. His current owner is facing a new baby arrival soon and can no longer keep him, which has left everyone worried about his future. Chief is housebroken, crate trained, and loves lounging around as a couch potato. He is super affectionate and enjoys all the pets he can get, making him a great companion, especially for those with older children or dog-loving households. While he is up to date with his vaccinations, he does have some mild allergies that require a special salmon protein diet. Thankfully, the Golden Years Dog Sanctuary is committed to covering any medical expenses related to his skin allergies. If we don't find him a home soon, he may end up in boarding or worse. Chief deserves better than that. Can you help him find that special place?
