Meet Ollie Boy! Ollie is a unique and caring soul in search of someone to earn his trust and show him what a loving home can be. While he’s currently listed as a Lab, we think he’s more accurately a mix of Boxer and Anatolian Shepherd, which is reflected in his stunning tricolor markings. Once Ollie recognizes you as “one of his people,” get ready for hugs, kisses, and a world of affection. His time at the shelter has made him a bit uneasy around strangers, leading to his initial placement on the euthanasia list before he was rescued and taken into foster care. Ollie enjoys walks, car rides, belly rubs, and squeaky toys. He’s house-trained, knows commands like Sit and Wait, and walks well on a leash. He would thrive in an adult-only, low-traffic household, preferably with just one or two people. A securely fenced yard is ideal, along with an experienced dog owner who can help him navigate interactions with new people and dogs. Ollie isn’t for everyone, but for the right individual, he will be an extraordinary companion. Ollie is currently in a loving foster home and is not at the shelter.
