Ruby is an 8-year-old spayed female Pembroke Welsh Corgi. She is considered a medium-sized dog and is house trained. Ruby weighs about 35 lbs currently, but she should ideally weigh between 28-30 lbs for her health. She has lived with children and loves their company.

About Ruby

Ruby is a delightful senior Pembroke Welsh Corgi, around 8 years old, who was surrendered when her owner could no longer care for her. Having spent a long time as an only dog, she loves being the center of attention. Ruby is currently in foster care with both dogs and cats, but she tends to guard her resources, like her food or the affection of her people. For that reason, she’d thrive best as the only dog in the household or with friendly, respectful dogs. Ruby adores children and is house trained, showing no destructive behavior. While Ruby is a joy to be around, she is heartworm positive and is currently receiving Doxycycline treatment. She will undergo full treatment before adoption, along with a dental cleaning. Ideally, Ruby should weigh between 28-30 lbs for optimal health, though she is currently about 35 lbs. As she recovers, she’ll need an owner who can monitor her and help her adhere to a restful regimen for six weeks post-treatment. She is located in Knoxville, TN, and her adoption fee is $250.
