About Ginger

Ginger is a stunning 3-year-old German Shepherd who weighs about 62 pounds. While she’s been patiently waiting for her forever family, we know the right fit will be worth it. She’s not one to reveal everything right away; instead, Ginger takes her time to warm up and show her affectionate side. Watching her blossom at her foster home has been a true joy for everyone involved. She has learned that life outside of the shelter can hold so much happiness, and she’s growing more confident each day. Ginger enjoys playing with other dogs and displays a playful, sometimes goofy personality that keeps spirits high. She thrives in the company of a confident dog of her size or larger and loves to roughhouse. However, due to her playful nature, she doesn’t get along with cats. Like many shepherds, she’s intelligent and a tad mischievous, often keeping her family on their toes. Ginger would benefit from an experienced dog owner who appreciates her smart personality and enjoys continuing her training. A fenced yard is high on her wish list, as she loves having space to run and play before settling down with her loved ones. Older, dog-savvy children who understand how to interact respectfully with pets would be a wonderful match for Ginger. She seeks a family that recognizes that strong bonds are built over time and who can celebrate her milestones as she grows. Ready to add a rewarding companion to your life? Ginger is eager to show just how special she can be. Could she be the missing piece your family has been searching for?
