About Bessie
Meet Bessie, one half of our adorable Georgia girls duo! This sweet girl is around 6 months old and is a mix of American Pit Bull Terrier and Bulldog. Although she weighs in around 20 pounds, Bessie’s personality is larger than life. She loves to snuggle and enjoys spending her days relaxing and getting attention from her humans. Bessie has some special needs. She was born with physical abnormalities that limit her mobility, meaning she needs support getting around. While she can scoot using her back legs, she requires help to get from place to place. Bessie thrives in a calm environment, letting her people know when she needs assistance. She has adapted well to her life and is a happy pup who loves her sister, Amelia, and enjoys being close to her humans. This pair has been together since birth, and it’s essential they find a home together. Bessie does well with other dogs and would likely fit in comfortably with gentle children. She doesn’t need a fenced yard, but safety and a little extra care for her mobility and hygiene are important. Bessie is currently up to date with her vaccinations and is part of our PIPs Special Care Adoption program, which supports her through her medical needs. She’s not looking for pity but rather a loving home that appreciates her unique personality and accommodates her needs. Ready to create a beautiful future with Bessie and Amelia? Applying is the first step to giving them a forever family!
