About Apollo

Meet Apollo, a true survivor on his journey to find a forever home. Apollo’s story is one of incredible resilience and unwavering sweetness. This approximately 5-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix overcame severe starvation and neglect, transforming into the happiest, most loving dog you could meet. He has gained an impressive 18 pounds since coming to us, and his spirit remains unbroken. A cuddle enthusiast at heart, Apollo enjoys snuggling and being close to his humans. He’s especially fond of people of all ages, making him a great companion for families with children. In addition, he gets along well with cats, happily sharing space with them. Although he is making great progress with potty training and crate training, Apollo will thrive in a patient environment where he can feel secure. Due to his past traumas, he prefers to be the only dog in the household, as he is still fearful of other dogs. With time and the right training, however, he may build confidence.
