Mama Poppi is ready to find her forever home after dedicating months to raising her puppies. This sweet girl wandered onto a farm in northeast Alabama as a stray, and after a kind family realized her situation, they took her in. Though she faced challenges, including losing four of her nine puppies, Poppi's loving nature shone through, and she has now had her turn to find happiness. Around 3 to 4 years old, Poppi can be a bit nervous with new people, but with a little patience, she will greet you with loyalty and affection. Her foster has seen her transformation; within a week, Poppi was joyfully welcoming her home. While she shows curiosity toward other dogs, she has been defensive during introductions, so a home where she is the only adult dog for now would be ideal. However, she adores puppies and may warm up to a younger companion once settled. Poppi loves her walks and behaves well on a leash. She is potty trained and can be trusted outside of her crate when given something engaging, like a Kong. A secure yard would help her enjoy the outdoors safely.
