About Bear

Meet Bear, our resilient Australian Shepherd Chow mix. After a month of getting to know him better, we have some positive updates to share. Bear first came to Pet Savers a few years ago and was happily adopted, but he was returned to us after a couple of years due to concerns about aggressive tendencies. He never bit anyone, but he did exhibit some signs of aggression. However, we’ve never witnessed any aggressive behavior while he’s been in our care. Following a thorough check-up by our vet, we discovered that Bear had a sore neck, likely contributing to his earlier behavior. Now that he’s feeling much better, he gets along well with everyone he meets at Pet Savers. He may bark at passersby through the fence, but once he's out, he shows his true friendly self. We're set to start temperament testing with other dogs soon, and we believe Bear will thrive in a loving home with owners who understand the importance of gentle handling to avoid re-injury. Bear is fully vaccinated and eager to meet his new family. Come visit us and give Bear the chance he deserves! What are you waiting for? Apply today!
