About Amara

Meet Amara! This sweet girl has quite the inspirational story. Amara was found wandering the streets, emaciated and with a rope still attached to her, showing signs of a hard past. Thankfully, she was rescued just in time and has since transformed into the loving companion she was always meant to be. At around 4 years old and weighing 17 lbs, Amara is a delightful addition to any home. She’s charmingly affectionate and has settled into her foster home beautifully, showing her true nature. This little girl has a smart side too; she quickly mastered the doggy door, knows how to sit on command, and performs a cute twirl when asked. Her eagerness to please is apparent. Living harmoniously with other dogs, Amara showcases a respectful demeanor and is content to be part of the pack. While she enjoys the company of her furry housemates, her favorite spot is right next to her humans. Whether you're working at your desk or relaxing on the couch, she’s happiest curled up beside you. Transporting in cars is also a breeze for her; she settles quietly and enjoys the scenery. Not to mention, Amara has perfect house manners—no accidents or destructive behavior, and she patiently lets you know when it's time to come out of her crate with an endearing little whine. Amara is looking for a forever family that appreciates a gentle, loving companion. She desires a cozy home where she can follow her family around and receive all the love she can get. After all she’s been through, she deserves a life full of comfort and joy. Amara is finishing her heartworm treatment and will be ready for her new home at the beginning of November. She's located in Houston, Texas, but can be transported for adoption across the country. The adoption fee is $600, which covers the cost of transport. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
