About Atticus
Atticus is the Sad Boy Club President. This sweet Rottweiler struggles to understand why he’s lost his home. His eyes tell a story of longing, and while in his kennel, he remains quiet, almost invisible in his pain. Outside, he paces, searching for a familiar face and a place to call his own. He knows commands and appears well cared for, but his heartache is palpable. Atticus deserves to feel love again and find a family that will cherish him. If you're interested in adopting Atticus, visit the shelter—there’s no need to fill out paperwork ahead of time. Just come by and meet him in person. You must be 18 or older and have a valid government-issued photo ID to adopt. There’s a $65 adoption fee, but keep an eye out for special fee-waived events. Family meet-and-greets are encouraged on adoption day, especially if you have other dogs. CACC is located at 2741 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL, and is open daily from noon to 7 p.m. Please arrive by 5:30 p.m. if you're looking to adopt the same day.
