About Sheba
Sheba is a wonderful 6-year-old female mixed breed, weighing around 30 pounds. This sweet girl arrived at Smidget Rescue while pregnant and has since done an incredible job raising her pups. Now that her mothering duties are over, she’s ready to share joy and cuddles with her forever family. Although she’s a bit larger than the typical small dog focus, Sheba is full of life. While she takes a little time to warm up—often requiring some treats—she quickly shows her loyal and eager-to-please nature. She’s not only lively and playful, enjoying running and fetching, but also appreciates those cozy couch afternoons. Sheba does well with other dogs and cats, but her high energy level might be too much for small children. She does bark and can respond with high-pitched vocalizations when she encounters something that piques her interest. Smart and food-motivated, she thrives with training. New people can be a challenge for her initially, but with patience and love, she will surely become a loving companion. Could you be the special family Sheba deserves? What are you waiting for? Questions about Sheba
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Sheba is best suited for a loving home where she can receive plenty of attention and exercise. A moderately active environment, with a mix of indoor and outdoor space, would be ideal for her needs.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Sheba enjoys outdoor activities, so a good-sized yard to run and play in would benefit her, along with regular outings for exercise.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Due to Sheba's high energy levels, she may not be the best fit for families with small children. Older children who can engage with her in play would be more suitable.
