About Luke

Luke is a young, playful dog who came to us as a stray in April 2026. After spending some time in a foster home, he found himself back at the shelter in May due to a mismatch with the resident dog—nothing to do with him. This handsome black Labrador Retriever has a medium energy level and is treat-motivated, making training sessions a breeze. He learned to sit right away! Luke is about 1.5 years old and weighs in at 62 lbs. Though he is low heartworm positive and will need treatment, this condition is not contagious. He gets along well with dogs and has a gentle disposition around them. Not particularly interested in cats, he seems to prefer his toys and stuffies. Luke is neutered and vaccinated, ready to make his new family very happy. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
