About Pearl
Meet Pearl! This lovely lady has been at Effingham County Animal Control for a while, and we're eager to find her a long-term foster home where she can enjoy comfort and peace. Pearl's story is quite remarkable. She arrived at the rescue in March 2025 after being hit by a car, resulting in the amputation of her back leg. To top it off, she was very pregnant at the time! In an extraordinary twist, she delivered her babies via C-section and had her surgery all on the same day. What a brave girl! Pearl is semi-feral and values her solitude. She prefers a quiet space, like a cozy corner or a small room, where she can relax without much disturbance. She enjoys her wet food and loves to snuggle in comfy blankets. Pearl doesn't require attention or playtime; just a safe haven where she can feel secure and at ease. She asks for little โ just a safe, quiet place to call home and someone willing to give her a chance. If youโre interested in fostering Pearl long-term, please fill out our adoption application. Your new best friend is just one click away.
