Short legs. A squeaky little voice. And enough personality to fill an entire neighbourhood. Yall, meet Willy! He's an 8-month-old, approximately 27-pound Corgi/Beagle mix with the most adorable little legs, beautiful blue-and-brown eyes, and a face that looks like it was specifically designed to get away with absolutely everything. And honestly? It's working. Willy is one of those dogs who walks into a room and immediately becomes everybody's favourite. He's confident, friendly, outgoing, and has never met a stranger he wasn't interested in turning into his new best friend. In fact, this little guy recently attended Dogtoberfest dressed as Woody from Toy Story. And let us tell you, he understood the assignment. A tiny cowboy with short legs, gorgeous eyes, and a whole lot of charm? Somebody get this boy a Hollywood agent. But perhaps Willy's greatest talent is his VOICE. Yall, this dog has the funniest little squeaky bark you've ever heard. Somehow, somebody managed to put an enormous personality and what sounds like a squeaky toy inside the same dog. We can't explain it. We just know it's hilarious. And underneath all that personality is one of the sweetest, most affectionate little guys you could hope to meet. Willy absolutely LOVES people. Adults, children, new friends, old friends. He's not particularly picky about who gives him attention, provided they're willing to give him some. He's playful, affectionate, and always happy to be included in whatever his humans are doing. He's also a big fan of other dogs. Willy loves making four-legged friends and is the kind of dog who would happily spend an afternoon wrestling, chasing, and playing with his buddies. He's social, respectful, and confident without needing to be the boss. He would absolutely love a canine sibling, although he's adaptable enough to be an only dog with regular opportunities to socialize. And cats? No problem! Willy currently lives with a cat and has been a perfect gentleman. Apparently, nobody told him that dogs and cats are supposed to have some sort of longstanding disagreement. Willy has decided he'd rather be friends. He's also fully potty trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and is eager to please. He's a smart little guy who responds wonderfully to gentle guidance and positive reinforcement. He hasn't had much crate training yet, so that's something his future family will need to help him learn. As for his energy level, Willy has a lovely balance. He enjoys daily walks, outdoor adventures, playtime, and exploring the world, but he's equally happy to settle down for some quality couch time. He's not asking you to climb Mount Everest every weekend. But if you're heading out for a walk, he'd very much appreciate an invitation. And if you're staying home watching television? Well, he's already claimed the good cushion. Willy would thrive in a home where he gets plenty of love, daily exercise, mental stimulation, and opportunities to socialize. He'd make a wonderful companion for a family with children, a first-time dog owner, or someone looking for a friendly little sidekick to share life's adventures. We can picture him tagging along on weekend outings, making friends everywhere he goes, playing with his dog buddies, and curling up beside his people after a long day of being ridiculously charming. And that's the thing about Willy. He's not just cute. Although, good grief, is he ever cute. He's happy, confident, affectionate, social, and genuinely seems to believe that every day is an opportunity to have a wonderful time. Somebody is going to bring this little guy home and discover that life suddenly comes with a lot more laughter, a lot more cuddles, and the occasional squeaky announcement from their new four-legged roommate. And we have a feeling they're going to wonder how they ever lived without him. Willy's ready for his happily ever after. Cowboy hat optional. Squeaky bark included. +++++++ ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://form.jotform.com/260401018308040 +++++++ Petunia is currently being fostered in Texas and will be transported to the perfect forever home by our rescue! We have transports departing each week! +++++++ The Truth About Rescue: Every rescue pup is a work in progress โ and thatโs the beauty of it. None of them come wrapped in a bow, ready-made or mistake-free. They come with stories, quirks, and hearts that have seen a lot but still choose to trust again. Adoption isnโt about perfection; itโs about presence. Showing up for them, every day, until they know theyโre finally home. Thatโs when youโll see them bloom โ soft and steady โ into the very best version of themselves. And somewhere along the way, youโll realize they were never the only one being rescued. +++++++ Once we have received your application, we will review and reach out to set-up an interview with one of our volunteers! If you have additional questions, please email us at SaintMuttsInquiries@gmail.com. Note: As with all of our rescues, we recommend homes with children 10 years and over to ensure the best fit for both the pets and families involved.
