About Myla

Myla's journey to safety was a close call. Just hours away from being put down at South LA Shelter, she caught the attention of someone willing to say yes to her just before her deadline. She had come to the shelter back in May after her previous owner lost their home. From the get-go, everyone sang her praises. Myla is respectful, playful, and gentle with people and kids. She also gets along with other dogs, making her a true social butterfly. In fact, she became a staff favorite, known for helping shy dogs feel comfortable in playgroup. During her stay, Myla faced a challenge. She developed an upper respiratory infection and had to spend over two weeks in isolation. But the moment she was allowed outside, her pure joy shone through. Happy, spirited, and a total sunshine seeker, Myla is looking for a home where she can thrive. At just 1 year and 10 months old, weighing 55 pounds, she's playful and loving, perfect for families with kids or other dogs. If you're ready to welcome a loving companion into your home, Myla is waiting for you. Click apply to start the adoption process.
