About Sandy

Meet Sandy, a spirited 6-year-old Shepherd mix who weighs 33 pounds. This resilient girl found her way to safety after being rescued from a kill shelter in Texas, where she had suffered a gunshot wound leading to an amputation of her leg. Sandy has fully healed and being a tripod doesn't slow her down; she loves to run and play in the yard. When it's time to relax, she enjoys cuddling on the couch. Sandy can be a bit shy at first, but once she warms up, she’s a loyal companion. She gets along well with other dogs and would thrive with a playmate. Sandy also coexists with cats, although her playful spirit might spark some interest in joining their games. Due to her gentle nature, she’s best suited for homes with respectful older kids. A fenced yard is a must for her, and she has proven to be house-trained. While she isn't fond of being crated, she remains quiet if necessary. Sandy is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and ready for her forever home. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
