About Pinky
Meet Pinky, also known as Bili! This little girl is truly special and requires a unique home. At just 8 to 9 months old, she’s a tiny Chihuahua weighing about 5 pounds. Despite her challenges, Pinky is affectionate and loves being held and cuddled. She thrives on attention and wants to be your little shadow. Pinky has faced some tough circumstances. Diagnosed with IMHA (Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia) at a young age, her condition means her immune system attacks her own red blood cells, leading to anemia. While some dogs stabilize with treatment, Pinky’s future is uncertain, and she may also have an underlying liver condition. This makes it essential for her to find a hospice-minded forever home. She will require ongoing veterinary care, bloodwork monitoring, and possibly emergency treatment if her condition worsens. Because of her medical needs, Pinky will need a quiet and controlled environment, avoiding high-risk areas like dog parks. Her ideal family will understand these limitations, providing a safe space for her to enjoy life. Pinky just wants to be loved. She enjoys her food when feeling well and thrives when snuggled close to her people. She’s been using pee pads and goes outside occasionally. While she won’t need big adventures, she will need warmth, gentle hands, and a commitment to cherish every moment with her. This lovely girl may not fit into every family, and that’s okay. We’re seeking someone with a big heart who understands the commitment involved in caring for a dog with an uncertain prognosis. Though her puppyhood may look different, Pinky deserves a life filled with love, however long that may be. Ready to make every moment count?
