Big Mama is an affectionate and athletic 3-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier mix who thrives on adventure and meeting new people. Found in the middle of the road by a kind couple, she was taken to a shelter after their dog didn’t get along with her. Sadly, she faced euthanasia due to her breed, but thanks to devoted individuals, Big Mama is now in a safe environment waiting for her forever home. Weighing around 60 lbs, Big Mama has shed some weight and is back to a healthier size. She is incredibly friendly and loves to cuddle, though she can be unaware of her size when zooming around. Despite being a hefty girl, she moves with surprising agility. Outdoors, she’s ready to play, but indoors, she enjoys lounging around. Big Mama has done well with medium to large male dogs, but she can be dominant with females. Therefore, a home with only male dogs would suit her best. While she enjoys companionship, she doesn’t require a furry sibling to be happy. Big Mama is potty trained, crate trained, and knows commands like sit and shake.
