About Vlad

Meet Vlad! Sometimes the cats who need us most find their way to us completely by accident. This is exactly what happened with Vlad. While we were working to trap another lost cat, Vlad unexpectedly stepped into the trap instead. Without a microchip or ear tip, we quickly found out that this stunning boy was already neutered. Instead of sending him back to an uncertain life, we welcomed him into the Chesapeake Feline Association to give him a shot at a safe and loving future. Vlad is a striking black cat who is still learning to trust humans. Upon arrival, he was frightened and unsure of his new surroundings, but he is slowly making strides. Each day, he realizes that the people caring for him offer kindness, food, comfort, and safety. This sweet boy needs a patient adopter who understands that building trust takes time. He may not be the cat who rushes for cuddles right away, but watching him blossom into a confident companion will be incredibly rewarding. With plenty of love and consistency, we believe Vlad can become a wonderful family member. Vlad didn’t plan on becoming a CFA cat, but sometimes the best things in life happen unexpectedly.
