About Hooper

Meet Hooper, an affectionate little goofball with soulful eyes and those adorable ears! Found as a stray in Flint, Hooper has transformed since being rescued. After a warm bath and a snazzy haircut, he's ready to share his love with a lucky family. Though a bit skittish in new situations, he’s eager to trust and enjoy human companionship. Hooper loves playing with toys and enjoys having a toy box to pick his favorites from. He’s not picky about car rides and happily rides shotgun. Zoomies in a securely fenced yard make him incredibly happy, as he explores his surroundings. While he’s learning about leash walks and does well with a harness, a yard would be ideal for him. Hooper is house and crate-trained but prefers a room with a baby gate over a crate. He’s a polite house guest, loves to cuddle, and is happiest when snuggled up next to his humans. He may be anxious around other dogs, appreciating the company of people even more. For this reason, he'd thrive best as the only pet in a home with an adult family that offers a predictable routine. This 2-year-old Havanese and Terrier mix weighs around 13-14 pounds. He’s recently neutered and up to date on vaccinations. Grooming is part of his routine every 8-10 weeks to keep his coat healthy. With the right care and a loving home, Hooper is set to blossom into the amazing companion he’s meant to be. Your new best friend is just one click away.
