About Kitsu

Meet Kitsu, a delightful 50 lb Collie/Australian Shepherd mix who just turned 2 years old. She's known for her sweet personality and her charming happy dances! Kitsu is an affectionate companion who loves her people dearly. She has been a star in her foster home, displaying intelligence and a eagerness to please. Kitsu enjoys being part of the daily activities and will greet visitors with enthusiasm while also finding joy in cozying up nearby. She has some adorable quirks, too! Kitsu can't resist doing her signature happy jumps when she's expecting treats or a fresh bowl of water. Food motivates her, making training a fun and engaging activity. She has attended training classes, where she's quickly adapted to positive reinforcement and seems to thrive in learning environments. At home, Kitsu is easygoing, enjoys peaceful nights, and finds her favorite napping spots around the house. When she sleeps, you might catch her making cute little “woo” sounds! She's shown she can get along well with the cat in her foster home, learning to share space respectfully. However, she hasn’t been around children. Kitsu does have a challenge: she needs to be the only dog in the house due to her reactivity toward other dogs. She's working hard on leash manners and positive reinforcement training, showing that she can behave beautifully when there are no distractions. We believe she would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard and someone who understands her needs. This affectionate girl is looking for a loving family who will help her continue her training. While she still needs some work on house training, Kitsu’s eagerness to please and her charming personality shine through. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to find her forever home. Kitsu's adoption fee is $400. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
