About Dixie

Dixie is a playful and silly young beagle eager to find her forever home. In her photos, she may seem serious, but it's just her concentrating on snagging a treat from the bag near the camera. She’s the essence of a happy-go-lucky beagle, radiating love and affection for everyone she meets. This 2-year-old girl, weighing 22 pounds, is friendly with other dogs and generally indifferent towards cats. Dixie will thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard to prevent her from following her curious beagle nose where it shouldn't go. If you’re interested in meeting her, please fill out an adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. Private meet-ups for approved adopters can be arranged, and you can also meet Dixie at the weekly adoption event on Saturdays from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at PetSmart Eastgate. All dogs undergo a one-week trial to ensure the perfect fit between dog and home. They come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed, and are up to date on flea and tick prevention. Are you ready to welcome Dixie into your life?
