About Dansir

Dansir is ready for a loving home. This charming Shih Tzu is 14 years old and weighs 13 pounds. He came to us after his elderly owner could no longer care for him and has adjusted well to our routine. Now, he's eager to find a family to love him. This sweet boy is great with other dogs and loves to be held and cuddled. Dansir has a unique way of communicating his needs; when he's hungry or wants a little help, he lets out a few raspy howls that will surely make you smile. It's like a tiny lion's roar! Since arriving, Dansir has been treated for some health issues and is feeling much better. He did require care for ear infections and dry eye, and he'll continue improving with regular grooming. He has a mild grade 1 heart murmur but is otherwise doing well. Currently, he takes Cyclosporine for his dry eye and will need to continue this going forward. Though he has a small nodule on his rear end, it doesn't require immediate treatment. Dansir is not altered and could benefit from a dental, but due to some cognitive changes, we opted against anesthesia. He's up to date on vaccinations and recently had comprehensive blood work.
