About Scout
Meet Scout. Scout is a 60-pound, 1-year-old female Pit Bull mix with a gentle spirit and a playful heart. This sweet girl was found as a stray, so her past is a bit of a mystery, but we do know that new situations can be overwhelming for her. Scout takes her time to settle into new environments and relies on reassurance to feel secure. Despite her timid nature, she shows no aggression when nervous; she simply needs some space to figure things out at her own pace. Once Scout feels at home, her personality shines. She loves spending time outdoors, where she can run around and show off her zoomies. Playtime with toys is one of her favorites, as she enjoys tossing them in the air and chasing after them. Scout is wonderful with other dogs and would thrive with a confident canine friend who can help boost her confidence. A buddy to learn from and play with would make her transition much easier. Although Scout has met an outdoor cat and displayed playful curiosity, we recommend a slow and supervised introduction for any feline friends. She also does well with children, especially those who can respect her need for boundaries and allow her to approach them in her own time. Scout may not jump into your arms right away, but that makes building a bond with her so rewarding. With a loving family, a confident doggie companion, and a lot of patience, Scout is set to become an incredible addition to any home. Your new best friend is just one click away. Apply now!
