About Scout

Meet Scout. She's a one-year-old, 60-pound female Pit Bull mix with a gentle spirit and a playful side. Scout was found as a stray, and though we don't know her past, we do know that new situations can make her a bit nervous. This timid girl needs patience and time to feel secure in her surroundings, but she has never shown aggression. Instead of pulling away, she seeks reassurance and a little space to gather herself. Once Scout warms up, her true personality shines through. Outdoors, you’ll find her zooming around with joy, and she has a knack for amusing herself with toys, tossing them joyfully into the air. Scout gets along well with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a confident canine friend to guide her. This companionship would reassure her that the world holds more than just fear. Despite her sensitivity to loud noises, Scout does well with older children who understand her need for boundaries. She's great in the car, walks well on leash, and is already potty trained. Although she's met cats without showing aggression, slow introductions would be essential since she hasn't lived with them. With patience and love, Scout is ready to grow into a remarkable companion.
