About Genie

Meet Genie. This 9.5-year-old Heeler mix, weighing 60 lbs, is in search of a special home that appreciates smart and quirky dogs. Genie possesses a vibrant personality and is incredibly intelligent. She knows a wide array of commands like sit, stay, and roll over. This clever dog thrives on interaction and will be a remarkable companion for someone who enjoys a highly engaging pet. Long walks, outdoor adventures, and playful moments with squeaky toys are a few of Genie's favorites. She’s a snuggle bug who relishes cozy moments with her person, loves treats, and even dashes to Buc-ee's for some cheese. While she has a playful side, Genie prefers a calm environment and would do best in an adult-only home as the sole dog. She may coexist with a gentle cat but is not suitable for homes with children or smaller animals. Sensitive to her surroundings, Genie appreciates having her boundaries respected. Thus, she needs a confident and patient adopter who understands the nature of independent dogs. Once she forms a bond, she is fiercely loyal and affectionate. You'll love Genie's intelligence and cleverness, her potty and crate training, and her ability to walk nicely on a leash.
