About Big Buddy

Big Buddy is a special pup who's truly a people magnet. He sticks close to his humans, making him the perfect lapdog. He enjoys playing with toys and sits patiently for treats, taking them gently. While he loves his playtime with other dogs, his favorite activity is curling up between his foster parents or snoozing on his foster mom. Rescued from a high-kill shelter in Houston, Buddy came in neglected but quickly won the hearts of the staff with his loving nature. Now thriving in a foster home in Portland, Oregon, he can be adopted anywhere in the US and Canada. He’s a big baby with a heart full of loyalty and affection. Whether it's coffee shops or parks, he’s by his foster's side and remains calm around people and other pets. Although he doesn’t chase squirrels or cats, he needs to be tested with felines since he hasn't lived with any. Buddy is smart, sensitive, and well-behaved—he's quiet, calm, and obedient, striving to be a good companion. However, he does require a fully fenced yard and experienced adopters due to his size. Big Buddy, at 2.5 years old and about 75 lbs, is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He’s heartworm negative and receives ProHeart 12 for prevention.
