About Rocky

Meet Rocky, the sweetest boy who has finally found his place on a couch! Rocky is a 1-year-old Labrador Retriever and Great Pyrenees mix. His story is both heartwarming and heartbreaking. This boy lived on the streets of Houston for far too long, and after being rescued, he narrowly escaped euthanasia thanks to an amazing team at Mile High Canine Rescue. Now, he’s discovering what it means to be a beloved pet. Initially unsure about enjoying the comforts of home, Rocky took some time to realize he was allowed to be part of the family. After some convincing, he finally embraced the joy of couch cuddles, and now he never wants to leave! Rocky is an absolute sweetheart who loves snuggling, playing with his doggie companions, and engaging with kids. He gets along great with other dogs and is mostly unbothered by cats, though he might enjoy a little chase now and then. He’s making strides in his house training and knows the basics on a leash. Rocky has earned his happy ending, and he’s ready to give you all the love you can handle. He just needs a family to remind him every day that he’s home. Could you be that family? Rocky is in foster care in Mead, CO. You need to come to Colorado to adopt him as we do not transport dogs. Click apply to start the adoption process.
