Charlie is a senior Shih Tzu/Yorkie mix, born in April 2011. Needing a new home due to his owner's health issues, he thrives in a calm environment where someone is home most of the time. His hearing and sight might be a bit diminished, but he's otherwise healthy and full of love. The ideal home for Charlie would be quiet, perhaps with an older woman, and he enjoys visits but appreciates peace once they leave. He appreciates regular potty breaks and does require grooming, but he communicates well when it's time to go out, often barking or whining to get your attention. Crate-trained, he sleeps comfortably there at night and relishes his outside time on nice days, especially with a cozy blanket. Friendly yet a tad shy with strangers, Charlie usually remains calm and loves to nap.
