About Spice
Meet Spice! Spice’s journey began in Mississippi, where he suffered an injury from a car accident and was surrendered to a veterinary clinic. That clinic took him in, making him their beloved clinic dog. Eventually, everyone agreed that Spice deserved the love of a family. About a month ago, he made his way to Lucky Dog Refuge in Connecticut, and we’re thrilled to have him here. Spice is an affectionate, sweet boy currently thriving in his foster home. He resides in an apartment building in Harbor Point, proving that he can adapt well to apartment living or a cozy home in a quiet neighborhood. Spice dreams of being close to his people. A work-from-home family or a retiree looking for a loyal companion would suit him perfectly. He relishes the company of humans and loves spending quality time together. Spice has been friendly with other dogs in his foster home, but he had a tough introduction to a large, intact male dog back in Mississippi. Thoughtful introductions will help him find the right buddy. As for exercise, due to his past leg injury, he prefers shorter walks and isn’t seeking a marathon partner—just someone to enjoy the simple pleasures of life. After everything Spice has been through, he’s ready to become someone’s best friend. Could he be the perfect sidekick for you? Start the adoption process today!
